Companies are continuing to encourage black women to go natural. I previously posted about an ad in Sister 2 Sister for Kinky Curly. I found an advertisement in the July 2011 issue of Essence that supported women wearing their hair in its natural state during the summer time. Here’s what the tagline said: “It’s summer in the city so make it an everyday thing to wear your hair natural. Follow these quick and easy steps using Luster Products to help you maintain a carefree summer look.”
