Event Recap: It’s My Hair Magazine Launch

Recently, I had the wonderful opportunity to attend the It’s My Hair Magazine launch in Atlanta, GA. PR for this event was provided by Lillie Mae PR. Read the official press release here. The quarterly magazine, which was started by Editor-In-chief Selena Milby (pictured below, second from left), is described as “a magazine for all things fabulous in natural hair, fashion, beauty, and lifestyle”. Personally, I’m really excited about what this magazine has to offer.

The event took place on Saturday, July 14 and was FREE for all those who RSVP’ed. Yes, I said free! There were so many lovely naturalistas in the building at the Jennifer Schwartz Gallery!

Hosts Samone of Samone Says! and Arkeedah of ItsArkeedah.com got the event started, while Hot 107.9’s DJ Traci Steele provided the music.

Adrienne of Me, My Hair, the City, was also in the building.

I arrived right on time, because I’m prompt like that, LOL. There were complimentary bites and beverages from Vita CocoX-RATED Fusion Liqueur and Coco Breve. And there were great giveaways.

Of course, as the event progressed, more and more natural women and men arrived.
