What does your drink say about you? Well, it depends on who you ask. You can be a lady, a gentlemen, an adventurer, the list goes on and on. Liquor and soft drink companies have made bank capitalizing on their target markets through creative advertising and branding. Take, for example, some taglines from well-known liquor and soft drink companies.
And the subject of today’s post is Coca-Cola freestyle – “The fountain of you”. Here’s the description:
“Coca-Cola Freestyle® is all about you. Your choice, your taste, your drink. It’s more than the new way to quench your thirst. It’s the refreshing new way to express yourself”.
This campaign is designed to capitalize on personalization and self-expression – the consumer’s unique ability to craft a delicious, sparkly beverage from 100 distinct choices. Coca-Cola wants you to know that their freestyle machine is “the fountain of you”.
As you can see from the screen shot above, they even use a male model with long locs. Is this an accident? or is it purposeful? Because some people would argue that growing locs is a form of self-expression. You be the judge.
