Tiffany Davis is the creator and editor of Natural Hair in the Media.
As a college student at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, Tiffany learned to take care of her relaxed hair out of necessity. However, she began noticing that it wasn’t growing and decided to do the Big Chop in February of 2005, after transitioning for 7 months. You can read her hair story here.
After receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Dartmouth College in 2006, Tiffany enrolled in Emory University’s Graduate program in Sociology. She received her Master’s of Sociology in 2009, and began working immediately in the research field. As a trained Sociologist, researcher, and evaluator, Tiffany has extensive experience in multiple aspects of the research process including conceptualization, data collection, data analysis, and report writing.
Since starting Natural Hair in the Media, Tiffany has developed an interest in multicultural marketing, advertising, and natural hair. She enjoys researching and finding examples of natural hair in various forms of media – television, print, and online. She is available for interviews and consultations, and can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Tiffany currently lives in Atlanta, GA and is heavily involved in the natural hair community there. She enjoys traveling, writing, reading, working out, and cooking.
